The product in detail:
- The Technical Product Owner for our “Integration Platform as a Service” is responsible for a solution that is the foundation of our journey to build the leading platform and marketplace for software and services.
- The integration platform provides business events and act as a gateway for commands of our common BusinessAPI in a cloud-first environment. The provided business objects like customer, quotes, employee or product information can be retrieved and used by numerous distributed services inside and outside of the company in a reliable and secure way.
- We strive for an API-first approach to integrate the various core applications (e.g. ERP, CRM, HR, Pricing engines, ...) and microservices in a standardized loosely coupled way.
The goals of the role are:
- Design and implement an enterprise-wide integration platform with your development team(s) as a service that can be used for the central data exchange of a globally operating company with 8,000+ employees.
- Establish the platform in the company, i.e. coordinate closely with other development departments/teams as your consumers in order to be able to serve their requirements.
- Enhance the platform's capability continuously and demand-driven alongside our maturity model
- Continuously increase the use of the platform by replacing legacy systems or direct access to the core applications and thus ensuring decoupling of these
Das Aufgabengebiet
- Identify technical requirements and design the roadmap for the services of the Integration platform in alignment with your stakeholders
- Translate requirements into features and iterative user stories
- Keep an eye on the value of the requirements and their ROI of the product
- Prioritize features and user stories according to their value as well as the roadmap
- Coordinate cross-team features with the product owners of other teams and coordinate technical dependencies
- Organize the product backlog with the development teams
- Be the contact person for technical decisions
- Conduct technical meetings with development teams and stakeholders (refinements, planning, sprint reviews, demos, workshops)
Kenntnisse und Fähigkeiten
Your working experience:
- 5+ years of experiences in EAI or SOA projects is a must
- At least 2 years of experience as a Technical Product Owner, Business Analyst or Requirements Engineer in a Software Development environment
- Experience in monitoring success of KPIs
Kowledge & Certifications:
- Certification as Product Owner is a must and desirable on a higher level (f.e. PSPO II or III or equivalent)
- University or technical college education in computer science with a focus on software development or a comparable education
- Very good technical understanding of current technologies and trends
- Good case of methods: e.g. BPM, Process Flow, Prototypes, Design Thinking, A/B Testing, Story Mapping, Stakeholder Analysis
Language skills:
- You communicate confidently in German and English language
